It’s a Book

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s a book!

And kids, do you know what a book is?  A book does not text, or tweet, or scroll, or use a mouse. (Remember I’m a cat, so I eat mice!) It does not need a password to open and you don’t have to charge a battery to read it.

The author made a wee mistake by not including cats in this particular book (he featured a monkey and a jack ass). Yet it is still awesome, because it makes you want to run out and find a book!

A book has pages that make rustling noises when you turn them. A book is something that you want to read for hours and don’t want to let anyone else have. A book is something that you want to keep close to your heart.

And you can go to the Library and borrow loads of books to take home and read. No batteries and no passwords are needed to read a book!

Even a jackass can understand that!

Sad to say at some point kids will indeed have to be reminded about books with pages.
